Sony MEX-BT2600 ... bought this stereo out of Halfords. This is an outstanding stereo with lots of worthwhile features. With the intention of replacing my current stereo, I wanted to buy one that had bluetooth connectivity because I had been pulled over before for using the phone whilst at the wheel. I had learned my lesson and paid the fine. I was not going to fall dumb a second time. Not only did this stereo solve that problem by having a hands free system built in, it was also able to playback my mp3 tracks from my phone. Pioneer DEH P7700MP ... have owned this item for around 18 months having bought it second-hand from eBay. I have it fitted in my Skoda Fabia vRS and thus far I have been fairly impressed with it. Looks: The player is quite pretty and its facia is a mix of brushed aluminium with piano black in the centre. The display colour is a fixed "digital blue" however the controls can be either red or green. The flip down front means the CD opening is hidden from view. The only downside to this item is that the screensavers on the blue screen can be distracting, and on my model it will suddenely go brighter then darker again every 5 minutes, which can be offputting when driving. Sony CDX GT828U ... bought this particular head unit after hours, in fact days of trawling internet sites looking at review after review. Thankfully the reviews I read lead me to a grat decision, to buy it. Now if like me you have never bought or fitted a new head unit before then this is recommended that you but a high quality one like this which actually include a set of fitting instructions. May sound petty but if you re in my shoes you ll understand. The vast majority of cheaper branded stuf out there had such chocking instruction its barely worth opening. On to the unit itself.
