Pioneer DEH 4000UB ... have had the head unit since January cost me around £75 from Argos although similar and like for like products can be found in Halfords or upland outlets. The overall quality of the head unit is real good however it does have a few drawbacks. The first drawback is that it s pretty tricky to fit into a car if you not familiar with the installation. The idea of this head unit is to link or adapt your iPod/mp3 through the usb port in the front. This is where a problem unfolds it allowed me to play my iPod for a while but it wouldn t allow me to change the songs from the iPod I had to flick through on the "random". Ripspeed DV720 ... friend has owned the Ripspeed DV720 for around nine months now, and aside from one problem with the unit, it is a very good in car DVD player especially considering the money. Typically this will be seen in Halfords for around £250 and when you look at it, it really does look like a well thought out stereo. It is black and when the screen is not up it has a blue lit screen which looks nice and is not too obtrusive. The buttons do feel slightly cheap but they have not worn or fell off so they do seem to hold up well. JVC KD G331 ... have this stereo in my car. I think value for money its one of the best out there. Its very simple to put into your car and just as easy to use. One of the reasons I choose it was because it does not have lots of bright differing colours flashing when its on, distracting me from driving. It is very easy to use and very easy to navigate aroung the menu. Settings are very easy to figure out as well. The sound quality produced is very good and I think in my case limited by the speakers I have the car (the cars original speakers). One of my only complaints would be that whilst its playing your Cd it seems to flash through all the different play options it has. This is fine ...
