Well, Having used an alpine unit previously I thought id shop around to see what I could get for approx. £300. After checking out all the options I went back to alpine. The reasons simple. They don't make anything else apart from car stereo equipment, and as far as most people serious about audio know alpine is head and shoulders above the rest. What you don't get with alpine systems is the fancy graphics and millions of useless features common amongst the usual Jap stuff. I puchased the Apline 7852-R about a week and a 1/2 ago to replace my outdated sony cd player. The 7852R is a feature packed car stereo system that just calls out to be bought. the features include multi angle faceplate,dual illumination,3 gold plated pre-outs inc 1 sub preout, radio text, BBE, Ai-Net compatible for connection to Ai-Net CD chagers. Disk naming memory ,40x4 watt built in amp which sounds great. the look of the stereo is great ,finished in silver and digital buttons all over.
