Disadvantages: Some of the features are slightly complicated to set-up & I-Pod needs a seperate adaptor

The Alpine CDA - 9831R is a great looking, great performing piece of car audio which brings some seriously great audio features inside your vehicle.

The faceplate is able to be 'angled' to a number of settings allowing it to fit perfectly into dashboards which may be sat on an angle or where the head unit is mounted lower down. The colours on the main 4 buttons can be selected from 512 different variants allowing the illumination to blend in with that of any dashboard perfectly.

The screen is large and very clear, which makes adjusting the settings both easy and a pleasure.

Sound is provided via a built in 50watt x 4 channel amp and there are 3 different pre-outs allowing different amps to be connected for front, rear and sub applications. Filters are available to send the correct bands to the correct amps & speakers and a 4 channel parametric equaliser is included allowing fine tuning of the sound. One of the best features is the 'sound-delay' which allows you to put a tiny delay on each seperate speaker meaning the sound from each arrives at your ears at precisely the correct time providing crystal clear audio.

I-Pods can be connected via an adaptor and bluetooth hands free is also available with the correct bit of kit.
