Alpine CDA-9831R: ... this alpine unit was not cheap compared to other brands I had to go for it due to the reputation of alpine for sound quality and build of the unit. 	Alpine CDA-9831R ... Alpine CDA - 9831R is a great looking, great performing piece of car audio which brings some seriously great audio features inside your vehicle. The faceplate is able to be angled to a number of settings allowing it to fit perfectly into dashboards which may be sat on an angle or where the head unit is mounted lower down. The colours on the main 4 buttons can be selected from 512 different variants allowing the illumination to blend in with that of any dashboard perfectly. The screen is large and very clear, which makes adjusting the settings both easy and a pleasure. Sound is provided via a built in 50watt x 4 channel amp and there are 3 different pre-outs ... 	Alpine CDA 7893 ... had any problems so far with the headunit itself. The only problem i had previously was where is was wired up wrongly which meant the headunit was on all the time and the lights up display was on all the time. two wires switched and sorted. But the head unit itself has paid dividends and i plan to put it in my next car that i get, i just wish it had USB ability but it does play copied CDs fine but not MP3 CDS. Alpine is a good solid well know name in the industry and i am not afraid of recommending this product to anyone if you are after a good cheap stereo with not many fancy features, but if you have big fingers, beware of pressing many buttons at the same time!... 	Alpine CDA-9831R ... sterio is superb! Ive had it for a while now and im really pleased i decided to go with this one. I had looked at the sony range, but they sounded very tinny in comparison in my opinion. The alpine gives excellent output wattage and has a good range of connectivity with it allowing you to conenct a whole range of other audio equipment to it. The built in MP3 player is obviously an added bonus, and allows you to have hundreds of tracks at once rather than having to find somewhere in the car to store all your cd s! also stops them getting nicked if the car gets broken into! but thats beside the point.
