Advantages: Ease of use with Good Sound Quality
Disadvantages: No Removable Fascia
Hi recently bought a new car and desperately needed a stereo and this Blaupunkt CD-player was the item given to me by my brother.
This is a pretty basic stereo with just am/fm radio and cd player with an aux function so you can connect a cd changer or i-pod etc. The sound quality produced even through standard car speakers is good and would sound even better through an amp.
Being that I have an older car I had to buy a wiring harness from my local Halfords. This was £13.99 ad an adaptor for the ariel was £4.99. When talking to the member of staff at Halfords he seemed to think this stereo would fit into any newer car with no adjustments.
I have tried to find a price for this CD player but it cannot seem to find it for sale anywhere, similar Blaupunkt stereos available now seem to be selling for around £70 - £100 RRP.
The main problem with this stereo i've found is that the fascia is not removeable i think this i as it is an older model as most modern car stereos include this feature.
If i had to replace this stereo i would safely say i would get another Blaupunkt, merely because of the ease of use with all the buttons being well laid out and the sound quality being excellent.
Summary: Great all round apart from fascia.

- 06/06/09 Blaupunkt are usually one of the best makes. Nicely reviewed too. |
