Whilst at first you may be wondering how on earth you operate this unit(there are no buttons) it soon becomes apparant that JVC has produced a stereo which offers something more than just your average unit would.
It is controlled using a touchpad, which at first is strange and takes some getting used to, however once this is done, you will wonder how you lived without it!
The screen, despite being small is more than adequate for watching a film on(i usually watch films on the move on my mp4 player so this is a huge screen!) and the features are packed into the unit.
The bluetooth is easy to set up and use and sounds very good when coming through your car speaker, muting the stereo.
You can also connect your ipod up to it and control it off the stereo, meaning you dont have to fiddle about with theipods controls.
This unit offers so much more than a standard unt but obviosly comes with a price tag to match. Shop around, the unit will be found cheap somewhere!
I recenty bought this and have to say the motion sensor and touch pad offer a new style of operation which I like. You can call your friends hands-free and there is a multimedia system with bluetooth, your i pod can also be connected to it which is very handy.
There is a 3.5" video screen and the menu and options are quite easy to use. There's no fiddly buttons to the side of the screen either as everything uses touch screen technology which a big improvement on some older models. The system has got a power saving mode as well where it will go into standby if you are not using it but fire up into life as you hand approaches it which makes you feel like Knight Rider even of you do drive a Fiat Punto.
The face is detachable for added theft protection and you can take calls through the unit as well if your phone is bluetooth enabled.
In conclusion the unit is an excellent buy but I expect it to drop in price quite sharply in the coming months and newer technology is released.
