I had a model Of JVC car stereo and it has been by far the best stereo i have ever had. The sound quality was amazing and it was so easy to use. I found that programming the radio, chaning function, changing audio settings were so easy with this stereo and i would deffinatly recommend this stereo to any one in the future. The model I had eventually broke after several years of tunes, It done me proud but just came to an end and started to not read properly and the digital display went all funny. I did want to remove it anyway and get a new one because at the time I had got a sub and amp and the model i had no red and white plug in, on the back of the unit. I have a sony one now but it is no were near as good the JVC and its far more complicated. I think that the brand and music just go together. I have found out that all JVC music equipement have been the best in my opinion and I would think about getting a new JVC soon. For anyone looking for music equipement I would deffinatly recommend JVC as a brand model.
i bought my car a few months ago and this stereo was in it, it also came with ifinity 6x9 so it was pumping with sound, but i wasnt all satisfied, it lacked something. the audio was missing a bit of power. The bass was great, but for me bass wasn't a key factor. i played around with the treble and mid which did help but still i wasnt fully satisfied. the superbass was pretty cool and it really did thump which was a thumbs up. The most annoying thing was that wile a track was playing it kept flashing between its different options and it was hard for me to see the name of the song which was playing on my CD. never the less its a great stereo for what its worth and if your not willing to spend one hundred pound plus then this is a definite one to get.
When I got my 306, I just thought I needed a proper audio system, and I got this. This was pretty awesome and it provided all the things I needed. The best thing was the SUPERBASS option which was pretty immense, I used it and completely blasted my speakers - I didn't actually need to invest in any more speakers because the current speakers that I had were giving excellent bass. The only problem I found was disabling the demo mode and the fact that the search for the radio isn't amazing - it has a mind of it's own and doesn't let the person choose the radio station that they want - I couldn't find XFM and was bugging me for a long time. Overall however, really impressed with the features that it has so it's well worth the money. I got the the upgrade to this which has the AUX input as well and that's truly fantastic.
Well I decided I'd read the other reviews of this item before I wrote mine and there are a few things worth going through regarding this stereo. I'll save the bad bit until later, it is, as the others say, simple to use, the menus are easy to navigate and I particularly like that you can restrict the output of the amplifier.... When I originally fitted mine, Which was easy, I only had factory speakers in the car and it was obvious that if I didn't use the option to restrict the amp I'd have blown them. Now I have a decent pair of JBL 6x9s I've removed the restriction and the sound is very good. The bad side is that since a couple of months after buying mine the CD player started skipping when I play MP3 CDs, which was 99% of the time. I now have to burn 15 track audio CDs instead of 80 track MP3 discs and I'm not impressed, a replacement is soon coming! Someone else reviewed this and said they can use theirs with their MP3 player, we haven't go the same stereo as each other! Mine has no input on the front panel, no bluetooth and I've listed the rear connections below. On the back you can connect a remote control and after market adapters are available to allow connections to most manufacturers steering remotes. There is also a twin phono output. I have a mixed opinion but if I hadn't read the other reviews I'd have slated this and they have fairly reminded me that it has redeeming features.... including price.
I have this stereo in my car. I think value for money its one of the best out there. Its very simple to put into your car and just as easy to use. One of the reasons I choose it was because it does not have lots of bright differing colours flashing when its on, distracting me from driving. It is very easy to use and very easy to navigate aroung the menu. Settings are very easy to figure out as well. The sound quality produced is very good and I think in my case limited by the speakers I have the car (the cars original speakers). One of my only complaints would be that whilst its playing your Cd it seems to flash through all the different play options it has. This is fine for a while but once you've chosen one of those play options, eg jazz or rock, it still continues to flash through them all making it difficult to see what number song you are listening to. I am very happy with this product and think for the price you pay it is very good value.
