I have a KDC 8080 in my Primera now. I have owned the stereo for about 18 months and the equivalent stereo made by Kenwood now is the 8090. Its not a lot different, just a facelifted model. Its not the first Kenwood Stereo I have owned. In fact, it is the 3rd. I started out with a cassette unit originally when CD players were £400+ to buy. My Tape machine was £220 then. I then bought my first Kenwood CD player for £200. It was a great unit but was front loading and only had one set of Pre outs and a music rating of 25W X 4. My Kenwood CD player is great, it really is. At £299 you cannot really complain for what it does. How many of you have had problems with your detachable face stereos? They start to malfunction after a little while. I think its all of the pushing and pulling of the face. The faces become weak and then the connections become faint and feedback. I did have a panasonic that basically fell apart because of this. It was a CD player too which I thought was built to take shocks. It appears not. The Other Kenwood I bought to replace it was a lot better but it got stolen out of my pocket in a night club. So I looked for an alternative. Somethng I could ... Read the complete review
