Advantages: Great sounding, looks nice in the dash and plenty of scope for customisation. Disadvantages: No USB, 3.5mm jack isn't great and difficult to get to grips with. I bought this CD player from Halfords just after Christmas 2008 to replace a fairly low quality JVC one that came with the car. I found it really easy to fit into the centre console and to connect to the speakers in the rear of the car. The sound quality is infinately better than the previous head unit /factory fit. The bass is full and bouncy, (you can change the level of bass boost as well.) The higher frequencies are clean not distorted, and there are several presets that you can fine tune to suit your taste. The main downside to this CD player is that the 3.5mm socket for the MP3 players isn't very practical, it's difficult to operate an MP3 player whilst driving and you have to turn both the player and the unit up to reach an audible level. The sound quality is far inferior when listening to your MP3s, also the user interface is quite difficult to get to grips with. But they are the only real downsides. Overall, you get quite a lot of product for your money, although it would benefit from a USB slot. Summary: A lot of Kenwood for not a lot of money.
