if you want to upgrade your main unit without disturbing your attention while you drive go for it. The display is very simple, two knobs make it very easy to use (although for some reason I tought the opposite would be true. You can dim the lights or even turn off the screen light (which I think is very annoying while you drive at night) when you don't touch the unit for 5 seconds.
