Advantages: cheap stereo that plays mp3s

Disadvantages: fiddly screen and slow loading time

The radio that comes with a standard mercedes-benz is very basic. Because of this I went to halfords to look for a new stereo unit, possibly with an mp3 playback, for the car. we were attracted to this one, firstly because of the price (£60) which is good for a car stereo, but also because of the compatibility range. It will take cd, cd-r (one time recordable cds) and cd-rw (multi use recordable cds) and will also play mp3s, meaning that you can download music off the internet, out it straight onto a cd and then play it in your car. It also has ID3 tags (whatever they are) and will display the cd information on the screen.
It also has a removable screen to dter car thieves, although this is very fiddly and I don't really want to try it at risk of damaging the stereo. Another disadvantage is the slow loading time.
This is a reasonably priced good stereo, although it doesn't have some of the options you might get from a more expensive model. I would reccomend it to anybody looking at a cheaper stereo that can play mp3s.

Summary: good compatibility for the price
