Result: highly faithful sound reproduction with expressive musical detail. This technology also provides low distortion (20dB better than conventional transistors), and lends extended high-frequency response, high current capability and 60-ohm low-impedance loading. Further ensuring what you hear is exactly what was recorded is Panasonic's MASH 1-bit DAC, found in the entire line. CD play options include track scan, search, repeat (track or disc) and random play. Changer control commands, which work with Panasonic changers such as the eight-disc CX-DP88, include disc up/down, track up/down, disc/track scan, track repeat and random play. A wireless remote control lets passengers conveniently operate both head unit and changer functions.

Used in a larger system, the player features five-Volt front and rear dual preamp-outs for adding front and rear amplifiers and a five-Volt subwoofer out (80/120kHz). A rear auxiliary input is also included for connection of one of Panasonic's mobile DVD players or another audio source. The SD/CD audio player is visually appealing as well. The new three-dimensional dot matrix multi-color display has a flip-down face for a larger viewing area and provides easy-to-see, at-a-glance information. Four-step shading is provided for 3-D imaging, and detailed icons show visual confirmation of the operations being performed. And, eye-catching metallic trim with super-bright CFL backlit graphics that move to the beat of the music, add to the overall visual package. For different looks during the day and at night, the CQ-SRX7000 features a versatile, multi-color "Day & Night" design. In daylight, the buttons and surrounding panel appear metallic, and the display, which is two times brighter than conventional LCD displays, has a reflective quality. At night, blue highlights become visible, giving the entire face a new, distinctive look.
