Advantages: Cool visualisations, Funky remote, Good sound quality
Disadvantages: Have to use remote
I got the stereo about a month ago along with a set of 6 x 9 speakers and 13'' ones too (Kenwood). i fitted it myself with the help of a friend and found it a doddle. I took out my existing head unit, unplugged the connector cube, the simply fitted the frame, connected the new blocks (with the use or the supplied adaptor) and slid in the new head unit. So 10 out of 10 for ease of installation! Once fitted, i had a field day with the two suppled remotes!! You are given a small 'credit card' commader (which is not quite as small as a credit card, but its stil mini) and a half-egg shaped one which you can stick to any part of the car (within infr-red range). i was a little hesitant at the beginning as the actual head unit has only 'source' and 'volume controll' buttons on, but i got used to the 'rotary commander' very quickly. i now do not have to even look at it as i have learnt where the buttons are for certain functions. It is a little anoying when your mate gets in the back and changes the cd whilst you are driving, but its such a cool feature to have. The sound quality is really good for the price. As long as you have a good areal you wil; get top notch reception. CDs are really good, and the unit comes with a programmable sound stage organaser to 'enhance your audio pleasure'!!! The fact that it has a removable face is good and the way the face flips down when you want to change a cd is pretty cool too. It is also compatable with sony CD and MD changers. The biggest downfall is the price. in halfords it was prices at around £250 , but i got it off Empiredirect.com for a snip ant just £160!!! so its well worth shopping around in my opinion. If you want any more info leave a comment, i will get back to you.
