Sony CDX GT23
Advantages: Cheap and well worth value.
Disadvantages: Very basic and simple
This particular model of in car CD player was the cheapest on offer when I purchased it roughly around a year ago and I have never had any problems with it. The display on the front is very clear and provides all the information I need. It has a LCD built-in display and a red back light button and features a digital clock with an optional 24hours display.
It was very easy to attach in to the car and I also bought a cover as part of the deal to put over it when i left the vehicle and this was easily detachable and discreet. The actual face-plate itself is also detachable for extra safety.
It has the standard radio stations which has the ability to contain 30 preset stations, the CD player function that supports WMA and MP3 formats, and the AUX-in output that allows MP3 players of iPod's to be connected and played through the system which is very useful to listen to my own playlists that I have created rather than having to copy them onto a CD. However if you wish to create personalized CD's, this system is CD-R and CD-RW compatible which is what the majority of blank discs are.
The audio features it offers are very good I think as well, it has adjustments for treble, bass and obviously volume and these can be altered to fit the particular speakers of the car. The equalizer is a digital graphic which is very clear and easy to understand.
For the price paid for the overall product I am very pleased with my purchase and it meets all requirements that I expected it to.
Summary: Great value for money and comes with some great additions
