Advantages: Tons of features for the great price
Disadvantages: difficult to manage large MP3 numbers
Very nice headunit overall when you consider the $250 price tag. It has features like USB which other headunits only give when you spend $350-$450.
It looks great in my opinion and sounds great (maybe a little too chrisp but that could be my crummy factory speakers) HOWEVER i find the USB drive can be a little frustrating at times. I use a 2GB flash drive which holds around 500 songs. At first i had all 500 songs thrown onto the USB drive without folders. As soon as i put the drive in it would READ and start playing INSTANTLY.
I now have the songs organised in around 40 folders each given the artists name and each time i start the car i have to wait around 2 minutes while the unit READS the drive and then starts playing. It also seems unable to display album (folder) names and gives a number instead.
This means that rather than having LED ZEP display i have to know that its album number 9 in the list. Not ideal and since it displays song name and information im not sure why this is a problem.
Actually- if anyone can make this work for me or give me any hints- please e-mail me! nathans.e.mail@gmail.com would be great!
