Advantages: All features you could want, easy to use, reliable, stylish
Disadvantages: Maybe slightly overpriced
I got this CD Player for Christmas to replace my awfully complicated and horribly sounding old CD player and I was, and still am, impressed with the quality of it. The price is a bit steep i'll admit but it's not ridiculously overpriced and it's a well known brand. Sony produce quality products that are reliable as well so yo can't really complain.
It's been 6 months now and i've used it a lot and never had any problems whatsoever with it. It has USB connectivity as well which will play music from any USB mass storage device you happen to have on you so you don't have to carry around a pile of CDs in your car when you're going on a long journey. Being a music lover I find this very convenient and was a necessity when I asked for a CD player for Christmas. If you plug your Ipod into the USB port then it charges whilst it's playing as well and you control it through the radio itself. The main problem i've found with this though is that it seems to play in an almost random order through the USB port, and there is no way of selecting which song you want on. The solution to this problem is to plug your MP3 player in through the AUX port and then you select songs off the MP3 player, but this does not charge it.
As well as the USB and AUX ports it has the usual CD player, as you would expect, it's pretty self explanatory really, you input a CD, it outputs music from said CD. Job done. The radio is easy to tune as well and the whole item is generally easy to use which is obviously very helpful whilst you are driving.
The aesthetic appeal is also there, with it looking stylish and sleek with some quite cool red lights on the buttons which I am a fan of and the white display. The only problem i've found with the controls is the fact "Play/Pause" has no dedicated button, which I find odd, instead the button the play or pause a track is the number 6, don't really know why but it is. The sound quality is also very decent, and it comes with a few set EQs, but if you want to you can mess around with the Bass, Sub and Treble yourself, which I tend to do.
Overall it is a very good quality product that is reliable, easy to use and has all the necessary and desired features.
Summary: Very good quality product with all you could need from a CD Player.
