Advantages: Versatile - good looking - not too pricey
Disadvantages: Genuinely none I can think of
I have had this stereo in my car for the last 4.5 years and it has worked flawlessly. My car is a 1998 Mercedes S280 which had a more traditional CD player (DIN) sized. This may of been fine for the original older owner but when you have Iphones and USB sticks lying everywhere I hardly know what a CD is !
I had about 150 songs on a 8GB USB stick that slotted right in and plays as you would expect - the display showing the artists name and song. This is a great way to listen to a lot of music without swapping CD's and tapes all the time.
I subsequently have bought an Iphone which has many GB's of music - again , very simple to use , buy a line in cord that plugs into the front of the unit with the other end going into your MP3 player. There are many Bass/Treble/L/R front back options as well as sound levels for Subwoofers if you have them installed.
I have friends who have had OEM equipment fail on them, this has worked strongly without a hint of trouble. The CD player , which I have used sparingly has never skipped if I remember correctly.
A fantastic quality unit that can play music from virtually all portable sources.
Summary: Very reliable stereo - excellent sound quality
