The Sony cdx m 1000. This cd player is just amazing, there is no other way to describe it.

Where to start, well its a Sony , so the build quality and reliability of the unit is way over par. Its just awesome. It has been used every day for about 5 years and is still going strong with no issues.

The player can hold upto 30 pre set radio stations, plays cd, cd-r's and mp3 discs. Unfortunately there is no mp3 connectivity, but its old and mp3 were not as popular then.

The unit comes in black and the tft screen flips down to allow you to insert a cd. The unit is quick to read and start playing too which is a definate bonus.
The volume and skip controls are on either side of the unit in chrome and look very swish! You also have on each side of the display a source button and a button that changes the screen image. Above these are an on/off button. The lay out of these is excellent.

Aside from the units super looks it also has another tirck up its very big clever sleeve. There are numerous visuals to look at such as rally cars, formula 1, sharks, space and then some equalisers to choose too. Overall i think you are looking at about 20+ of different things to watch. Very very impressive. The tft screen is also super slick and very very sharp, clear and consistant.

Now onto the audio, well first off its Sony, so the audio is going to sound amazing which it does and thats an understatement. Its actually totally brilliant, and thats all there is to it, simply stunning sound. Why upgrade speakers when a new head unit can do all this .

I have never been happier with an in car cd player as i have with the Sony's masterpiece.

Sony have pulled off a very clever bit of kit in not much room, the sound, slick visuals and design of the unit have made for a top product which i would never hesitate to buy!
