Turtle Wax ... original car wax. This is a waxy material made from entirely artificial ingredients, although it is possible to purchase it enriched with carnauba. I ve used this material a few times. It is a thick blue paste which you apply with a damp cloth, allow to dry and remove. Sounds simple in theory, but there s one major issue. Unless you have a machine polisher, this takes a lot of work to actually remove, and if you don t it leaves very obvious hazing where it hasn t been completely polished Despite this the effect is very good, it leaves a very hard shiny coating on your paint which lasts for weeks. Autoglym Odour Eliminator ... all of the Autoglym products, this is used by such marques as Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, and Range Rover. Associations such as this give the product and air of quality. This is a product which is more than a simple air freshener. It actively neutralises odours in your car in a manner similar to Febreze. It has a pleasant smell, which is almost floral initially, but after a couple of days is more reminiscent of new car smell . I ve found it to be very effective, and it s better than using an air freshener, as it s much more subtly fragranced than products which simply mask smells. Autoglym Instant Tire Dressing ... ve found this product to be a bit of a let down when compared to the other Autoglym products (see my other reviews). In common with most autoglym materials this is quite expensive, and you can pay anything between nine and fifteen pounds for a bottle. It comes in a spray bottle, and contains silicon resins to increase it s shininess when on your tyres. I d say considering this products performance that it was designed for car dealers rather than anyone who actually cleans their car on a fairly regular basis. This is because the finish on the tyres is brilliant initially, but it fades very quickly with normal driving, and only seems to remain if the car remains stationar...
