When I was deciding to buy this a few months ago, I remember looking for reviews and seeing quite a mixed bunch of both positive and negative opinions. I bought it anyway, and overall am pleased with the purchase.


One thing I think people get confused about when buying this, is it is not a full blown car cleaning kit. It is a set of attachments to use with an existing Dyson cleaner - you need a Dyson to be able to use the car cleaning kit.

The attachments I have are compatible with the Dyson DC01, DC02, DC03, DC16, DC18 models. My family have a Dyson DC14. Our family car gets VERY dirty - my mum has three small dogs that shed a lot, and she insists they sit on the seats, rather than in the back compartment.

I paid around 65 euros for the kit (I bought it in Spain) which I think in retrospect might have been a bit dear; I am sure if you shop around you will find it cheaper.

You get a "stubborn dirt brush," a "flexi crevice tool" and a "car turbine head." The turbine head is supposed to be the bit that picks up pet hair, but to be honest, it is not that great for my mums dog's hair, but it does pick up small stones and dirt well.

The crevice tool is great and really dos get into all those little nooks and crannies. The stubborn brush is also fairly effective, but you do need to apply some pressure and elbow grease.

I think this kit is ideal for a dirty car, but maybe not optimal for a VERY dirty car. Those of us with multiple pets might sometimes need something a little more robust.
