      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Expensive fuel yielding better MPG

With standard unleaded currently sitting at 132.9 on my local forecourt, and V-Power at 137.9, I figured I'd give it a go, hey, why not right?

So I inserted the nozzle and instantly my pocket began to hurt, my wallet flinching, trying desperately to escape my clutch. Yes, paying 5p extra per litre is a bummer, but I've heard good things, well let me tell you what happened...

My MPG (According to car computer) has gone from about 39.1 to about 43.0. It also feels smoother (maybe I'm thinking about it more after filling up with this alledged rocket fuel). My car isn't faster, it doesn't look any better but I do understand that there are some advantages of filling up with this stuff, a clean out of the engine if you would?

Overall, I can't see any dramatic difference although I'm pleasantly chuffed with the co-incidental increase in MPG.
