I must admit that I have very much lost the love to keep my car clean lately. I would most certainly admit it is lazyness as opposed to lack of time. Although the dash is quite curvacious I still find it an ininviting task. Perhaps it is the frustration that as soon as cleaning the dash, the dust soon settles again on the wet surface and I never quite get it as clean as I would like to. Anyway, I decided to give the Simoniz Jumbo Matt Dashboard Wipes a go as I thought they would provide me with a quick and simple solution to my problem.

The wipes cost around £4 for a pack of 20 from Halfords. They can also be bought online and I would imagine from other car accessory shops also. As the wipes are 'Jumbo' in size I can easily clean the entire dashboard with just one wipe. A streak-free finish is always left and the wipes aren't too damp either. There is some moisture there in order to clean and also contain the dust. The wipes are also of a cloth texture and so they don't rip easily like cheap quality disposable wipes. As the wipes are about 20cm square they will cover even the largest of hands. I find them particularly useful for cleaning up spillages - often acquired having driven through the drive-thru!

The main advantages of these wipes are that instead or disturbing the dust they contain it, meaning I don't find a dust covered dash later in the day. The results are pretty impressive, but there is one sticking point for me. I think the price is a little bit much, but I can't find any other product that works as well without having to comprimise. The 'wild strawberry' scent gives a clean and not sickly smell. I like the 'new car' smell, but when you think of a fruity scent you would always imagine a product like this to be lemon.

The quality and size of the wipes, coupled with the results achieved means I must recommend them. My only gripe is the price, which I think is very much on the high side. Bargains can often be found in Halfords but not on this occassion. If they were priced at £2.50 or £3 then I would be much happier, but £4 is really just a bit too much. Ultimately though this product is fantastic and I have used other Simoniz cleaning products for my car in the past with similar success.
