Halfords Roof Mount Cycle Carrier: ... got one of these and had to take it back! I got it to replace a previous rack which had given up through old age but which had the bike mounted on its saddle and handle bars. 	Halfords Deluxe Roof Mount Cycle Carrier ... have 2 of these cycle carriers and have used them a fair bit in the last couple of years. Once you are used to fitting them it really doesn't take long to fit them to the roof bars (fitting the bars takes longer). I have had no real problems with them, although the first time of using them took a while to work out the best combination of mounting for the 2 bikes (one has a womans frame). The best solution I have found was to mount one in the normal way and one backwards, so that the arms are both on the inside, this makes putting the bikes on easier and just happens to provide suitable positions for each if the bikes (even with bottle cages). 	Halfords 2 Cycle Carrier ... you're looking for a simple, effective, good-value carrier for one or two bikes then this could be the rack for you, provided it fits your car. It's best fitted to saloons and hatchbacks, I would have thought, since it doesn't offer as much flexibility as the more expensive models in Halfords' range. However, its simplicity makes it the most stable, rigid carrier I've ever used. The rack comes with two wide plastic-covered hooks for the forward attachment points (the bootlid or hatchback top edge) and two heavy duty non-plastic-coated chassis/bumper hooks. 	Halfords Tow Bar Cycle Carrier ... tow a caravan, yes I know go on have a moan ;-) Anyway I needed a rack for up to 3 bikes and the logical choice was to utilise the towbar, so I bought one online from their website. 1st impressions excellent, 2nd impressions "I'll never get these rubber bits on!!" Then I read the manual and used washing up liquid, surprise they went on dead easy. I suppose the hard part is fitting the car mounted plate to the towbar, once that is done the rest is relatively easy. Make sure that your stabiliser will still fit with it in position, and also ensure that the bikes are mounted as high as possible to avoid conflict with the Caravan. My cvan is a Swift...
