Advantages: Cheap, Sturdy, Fits most stuff

Disadvantages: Mounting straps are a bit fiddly

This rack is cheap for its capabilities. It's built with sturdy quick-release clamps, so it can be adjusted or folded for storage quickly and easily, and the range of movement is good enough to fit pretty much any car.

It uses six straps: two hook under the chassis, two to the top of the bootlid, and two at the sides of the bootlid. Tightened down, the rack is pretty solid even in strong winds.

The rack is supplied with three rubber bumpers on each arm for mounting the bikes, and each bumper has a velcro strap to hold the top tube. They're fiddly to use but they do the job. I've always found that bikes need to be bungeed down anyway, so they're not really necessary - I'd be tempted to take them off and replace them with some foam tubing over the arms, just to save faffing with the velcro straps.

The rack is supplied with 'dumbell' attachments for cars with glass-edged tailgates like the Mondeo and Laguna - they work, but don't do what I managed to do, and let your tailgate fall with one of them stuck in the hinge, because it's an expensive repair job...

Overall it's a good rack, and for the money it's great. If I hadn't bought a new bike which wouldn't go on it, I'd have definitely kept mine.
