Slippery when wet (Falken Tyres in General)
Member Name: EggMan
Advantages: Hard wearing, cost Disadvantages: Don't like wet conditions There are so many tyres on the market at present. I bought four of these for my current car a little over two years ago. Tyre size 205 50 r 16 costing a little over £82 per corner. A middle range tyre at a reasonable price. The tyres are hard wearing, in the two years there has been little wear on the tread, for me that's 30,000 miles. They are slightly noisier than other top market tyres I have had in the past, but not enough to deter you. The tyres handle well, in the dry steering and cornering as good as the better quality tyres. My only concern is in the wet, with the slightest over rev pulling out of a junction, they are prone to lack of grip and hence wheel spin, not good if you need to move quickly. On two very rare occasions, the back has stepped out due to lack of grip, again in the wet. Over all these tyres are very good, reasonable cost and hardwearing. An ideal tyre for the cost conscious motorist. Summary: Reasonable cost, hard wearing tyre
