This is a review for Toyo Open Country (H/T) Highway Terrain tyres. The Open Country (H/T) tyre is intended to be used 95% on road and 5% off road. Its a road tyre that still maintains a bit of off road ability. I have currently have a set of 4 fitted to by Subaru Outback. I really like them. This may be due to ... Read the complete review

I recently got some new wheels. Some very expensive wheels as it goes. Probably spent far too much money on them, but they are lovely. I've always lived by the philosophy that if you are going to do something, you should always do it right. In this case there is no point in putting cheap rubbish tyres on a good set of wheels. It ruins ... Read the complete review

I recently purchased a set of Toyo proxes T1-R tyres for my MR2 turbo as my previous set (goodyear eagle f1's) had quickly become very slick. They are set as a performance fast road tyre, and are less expensive than some of the bigger brands, such as Goodyear, Pirelli etc. First impression when they arrives was how ... I purchased a set of four Toyo Proxes T1-Rs for my Mk1 MR2 on the recommendation of various other MR2 owners. For a budget tyre they really are very impressive, especially in comparison the the cheap plastic tyres I had fitted before. They are very progressive in the dry, both under braking and hard cornering, and inspire huge ... Read the complete review

I started using the T1R on reccomendation from a friend with a mk2 MR2. They seemed to push all the right buttons; high performance tyre, decent wet weather performance cheap to buy. I've not been disappointed either. In the dry these are nothing short of brilliant for the money. Great road holding capability and excellent ... Read the complete review

Having read a review on toyo car tyres, I had to respond as the customer was not happy and said they spin in the wet when pulling away. At present I'm using the Toyo T1S Proxes and i have to say i haven't found a better tyre, The dry and wet grip of these are fantastic and i have nearly 400 horsepower running to the two drive wheels. ... When I purchased two Toyo tyres for my RAV4 I was told they were excellent multi-purpose tyres. Well I beg to differ, not too bad on light off road, but too noisy on tarmac. In my experience they have poor grip in the wet and slippery conditions, kicking the ABS in early. The tyre size I purchased was 215/70 R 16, which is ... Read the complete review

I needed a new front set of tyres for my Avensis 2.0 VVTi (195x15x60) and read 3 reviews on them, all good. I was tempted to go for the Goodyears the were originally fitted as these were priced at around £125 fitted as opposed to the £100 fitted for the two Toyo's. What swayed my judgement was the opinions here, not the ... Read the complete review

I have been using toyo proxes T1-S? since they were launched, about 7 years or so I think. I will not use anything else for daily driving. I have run them on all sorts of vehicles from hatchbacks to saloons and heavy coupes and they are brilliant on all. The longest lasting of these covered 42k! Their characteristics suit my driving ... About 500 miles ago I changed my tyres. I did have Pirelli P6000s on my Peugeot 206 GTi, but was sick of the road noise they produced. I researched for weeks on what tyre I should be to replace them. Yes, this definitely was a tough job. It seems that every tyre dealer is a gangster, spinning you every yarn under the sun trying to ... Read the complete review
