My daughters liked Top Trumps when they were at school but I thought they had stopped making them years ago. Now that my grandaughters are at school though they are back into fashion again. I remember Top Trumps were always about cars, dinosaurs or dogs originally but now you can buy lots of different sorts to suit girls and boys of any age. Top Trumps is a card game. It was extremely popular in the 70s and 80s with children and adults alike. The game Each pack of Top Trumps cards has a key theme/topic. This used to reflect what was popular with children at the time. In the earlier years, this game was more popular with boys, reflected in the topics such as military, planes, cars and machinery. Top Trumps used to be the big thing in the play ground at school and I was amazed to see that my niece is still playing it now. Her particular game was based upon members of Pop Bands and in particular those manufactured boy and girl bands. For those not in the know this is a card game where each pack is based on a theme.
