The winner would then be the one with the lowest score after a certain time or number of rounds. The special action cards are where it gets interesting. They allow you to skip the next player, reverse the direction of play, get the next player to pick up cards, or change the colour in play. Use of these can make the game quite mean and cut throat, hence ...more

Premium Review Numero-Uno (782 words)

Rating:

I have worked with children for the last few years, and have realised over the time, the one game none of the kids will tire of is Uno. Uno is a basic card game using the same principle as the game Whot did back in my day. The pack consists of four different colours, red, green, blue and yellow, each containing a number, nought through to nine. The rules state you play in a clockwise direction and have to match the last persons card with either the same number, or colour as was dealt. The idea of the game is to be the first to get rid of all your cards to be declared the winner. Sounds simple enough doesn't it but it wouldn't be very challenging without a ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review great game (322 words)

Uno is the Classic card game that is easy to play and fun for all your family and friends this game allows up to 2 to 10 players and is suitable for most age groups. This game is a simple card game, which is a great price game that you can get now for around £5.00 and in my opinion it is worth every penny. I have seen it on Amazon for around £3.00. The aim of the game is that you have seven cards each and you match the card on the table with a card in the player's hand you can swap the colours and get others to pick cards up along the way, stop other people from having a go and reversing the way the game goes. The first person to get down to one ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Uno: A PACK OF FUN AT A GOOD PRICE. (1167 words)

Have you ever had one of those rain filled days, when the sky opens, and the electricity goes, and all technology grinds to a halt ? Ever wondered what to do with the kids to keep them occupied ? Well, that is the kind of event that I keep my Uno cards for. Bored minds with nothing to do can be tiresome, and these cards work wonders, both in this situation or in a situation of boredom like travel. Often I travel on the ferry between the UK and France with a pack of Uno cards in my bag, because there will always be someone that wants to kill time, and being occupied and having fun is a far better way to pass time than to sit bored out of your brain, watching the ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Uno! (1878 words)

Recently I've been playing a lot of games and after exhausting several card games and getting bored with them I realised I had a pack of Uno cards still sealed from last year. I'd bought a new pack for holiday after having played the game as a child and remembering how much fun we used to have playing it. The cards went all that way and got forgotten about in the bottom of my suitcase though. So until recently it was shoved in a corner in my room. I'm so glad that I opened it though as it's given us hours of fun. So what is Uno? Uno is a simple card game, which can be played by all members of the family. The rules are easy to pick up and it only ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Uno: Tres... Dos.... UNO! (900 words)
by - written on 19/08/08 (Very useful, 42 readings)
Rating:

Uno has become a classic card game over the past few years, with it's simple effective gameplay combined with the great atmosphere it can create amongst a family and therefore is worthy of a review. ~~ What's in the box ~~ The design on the box has several variations, however some features remain throughout, such as a red background, UNO written in capitals and some of the cards used to play the game. Inside the box there should be: 108 cards instruction list (possibly) it really is that simple, though it is still worth checking that the cards are the correct colours. 19 x (Blue, Red, Green, Yellow) 0 - ...  Read the complete review
