A worthwhile purchase for data transfer.

A number of years ago I had a Sony Memory Stick for my Sony PDA. This Belkin USB reader/Writer is very easy to use for transferring data from Computer to PDA and vice versa. The device simply plugs in via a USB slot and once configured to the computer it is ready to go. The cable and device are white, with a purple curved edge where the Memory Stick slot is. Belkin make a range of these devices which are compatible with various memory cards and each has its own colour.

The transfer rate is very impressive at upto 1.2MBps. The contents include the reader/writer itself, a user manual, a PC Photo editing software CD and a similar disk for Mac. The device is compatible with Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista and Windows7 and also Mac OS 9.0 or higher.

The simplicity of the product couldn't be easier. You can simply plug and play, it lets you drag and drop files, images and music for editing and storage. If you have the Memory Stick then this is a must have accessory for data transfer/storage, not least because if you shop around you can buy one for less than £1.50 due to the limited use of the Memory Stick nowadays. Also look out for other Belkin reader/writers.
