EASYi USB SD Card Reader
Advantages: Very easy to use
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
I love taking photos and I'm guilty of taking too many of them quite literally thousands of them so that results in countless numbers of SD cards of varying sizes (memory size) sitting in drawers all over my house. The fact that most, if not all digital cameras come with a USB slot on the side so I can transfer my photos to and from my computer or laptop is a very handy way to view and edit them. But to be able to just slot my SD card into this USB stick makes the process even quicker and even more simple to do.
This compact gadget is only the size of a standard USB stick so that means I can carry it around with me to clients and just pop it into my laptop or theirs if I don't happen have mine with me. Having photos of my previous work is a great way of helping a client to know what to expect and what the end result may look like if they use the products correctly.
I just simply remove this tiny reader from my bag pop in my SD card by sliding it into the side of the reader and insert it into the USB slot on the device which I wish to display the images on. They appear almost instantly on screen and I can flick and scroll through them at my leisure. This can also accommodate SDHC they are the high capacity cards and give me the option of using them If I need to. Quite a few new TVs and fancy gadgets have USB slots built in so that as well is fantastic to be able to view my work on a large screen TV if I want to.
Apart from using this for work we had a Playstation 3 that was one of the first models to be realised and that had a SD card slot on the front under the flap but when we replaced our PS3 with the new slimmer bigger memory model the SD card slot had been removed so having this gadget again makes viewing and transferring photos back and forth so much easier than having to do it with the usual USB cable.
This is a plug and play device meaning just that, I just pop it in and it is ready to go it couldn't be easier to use. This one cost me around ten pounds but there are very cheap ones available but I can't vouch on how well they work but you can pick them up in £ world, and saying that according to dooyoo amazon Market place are selling this for only 99p at the moment.
Whether it is £1 or £10 the clear convenience and ease of use of this device means I have to give it five stars.
Summary: Simple to use handy device
