WHAT ARE CARD READERS
<><><><><><>& lt;><><><><><>

Firstly as you may or not know card readers are for very small memmory cards which can be put in just about anything these days from phones to dvd players to the latest game consoles. They read the memmory on the card and transfer the information to and from your pc meaning if you had somefiles on your mobile or a camera ,all you have to do is remove the memmory card from your phone slip it in your reader and depending on the size of the files they could be transfered in seconds.

REASON BEHIND ME WANTING A READER
<><><><><><>& lt;><><><><><>< ;><><><><><

When you first get a phone or camera that has a memmory card included you will usualy find a connection cable included which lets you transfer the files by simply connecting the cable up to both the products this is very easy but there are two drawbacks, one being the fact that the cable speed is very low meaning it takes much longer than normal to transfer files and the second being the fact that the cable uses the power from your mobile or camera in the process meaning your useing battery life or batterys at a very high rate which in the case of desposible batterys mean a small fortune over the space of a year or so.
The card reader eliminates the need for your phone or camera to be even switched on all you simply do is remove the memmory card and fit it into the reader as there are lots of different slot sizes on each side then go into the relevent drive on your pc eg D: E: then simply transfer the files that way, plus the reader can be left connected at all times or if you wanted simply disconnected till you need it again

BOUNDLED SOFTWARE
<><><><><><>& lt;><><><>
The only bundled software is the drivers for the reader, At first i thought a little extra might have been added but to be truthfull you really dont need anything more than the drivers anyhow as its all common sense when uploading and downloading information .

REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR PC
<><><><><><>& lt;><><><><><>< ;>
The only real must haves for the reader are a free U.S.B port as well as 2000/xp microsoft windows

SUPPORTED CARDS

WHAT DO I THINK IS IT WORTH THE CASH I PAID
<><><><><><>& lt;><><><><><>< ;><><><><><><& gt;<>

These card readers have come down alot in price since I first purchased mine over a year ago this model can now be picked up for as little a £9.99 i think this is excelent value for money as you get the compatabilty of being able to use 16 different cards in one small 7 cm long box plus the units caseing is made from metal which also make the chance of the thing droping and brakeing very unlikely..

this review was originaly wrote by myself futurenoir for ciao and is all my own work if there are any questions please ask

Should have written more for the Supported Cards section
I know what they are, but knowing this site most wont have a clue.
The size limits could be described as drawbacks. Those sizes are awfully small.
512Mb for a MS-Duo. I got a 1Gb, and planning on a 4Gb so anyone with a games console (PSP) should stay away.
