Chevrolet Impala in General:
... might not notice the Chevrolet Impala out on the streets, but when you do see one, you start to see them everywhere. The current model Impala is one of America s best selling domestic automobiles (although it is constructed in Oshawa, Ontario in Canada) with many bulk sales to corporate and rental fleets. I ve driven a handful of Impalas, all of them entry or low-spec rentals. The car comes with 3.5L, 3.9L or ... Read the full review: Economical, functional, comfortable, forgetable by jamesontheroad |

Ford Mustang Cabrio ... had a 2007 Mustang Cabrio V6 with an automatic transmission at my disposal for a week or so. During that week I clocked up a good thousand miles of highway and minor road driving, both with the hood up and down. The car s performance was lethargic for a sports car. This vehicle trades on its appearance, so perhaps it s no bad thing that you ll take off from the lights pretty slowly if you want to make sure everyone can see you. Fuel economy was poor as well, overall I wasn t impressed with the rather slow-witted and unresponsive engine and transmission. I hope that the manual and other engines make up for this disappointing entry level model. The interior is drowning ... Read the full review: Looks good, drives bad, feels worse by jamesontheroad |

Saab 900 ... first car was a 1993 Saab 2.0, first year of production of the 900 NG , which shared many components with the contemporary Vauxhall / Opel Vectra. Don t be fooled by that lineage, however, the 900 remained a very different car, with a style and character all of its own. As a second hand first car for your son or daughter, a concerned parent could do much worse than an old Saab 900. Rock solid build quality, and unreal crash protection. The normally aspirated 2.0 litre petrol engine was a fine choice, and surprisingly economical. With careful driving (and the onboard computer helps you nurture this) I achieved more than 32mpg most of the time. Just beware: the fuel ta... Vauxhall Corsa (pre 2000) ... have had our vauxhal corsa that long now it even has a name, mertle. Everything we own ends up with a name. I brought my corsa back in 2002 and paid £3500 for it, it is the 3 cylinder ecotech engine 1 liter well not quite a liter but rounded up to that on my log book. It is a 3 door in red with not a lot of mod cons but has been literaly indestructable. I have brought a few cars since then and kept donating this to my hubby and saying i wanted to get rid of it but keep ending up with it back as it is so reliable. Poor mertle has been barbied for 6 years now and is still going strong. The little 1 liter well 900 and something engine wasnt quite nippy enough for me, i...
