Ford Ka in general:
... starts perfectly in all weather, is compact yet spacious at the same time. He has 3 doors - the boot is not a bad size for such a small car and the back seats fold down for further storage space. He has central locking, came with a tape deck which I have taken out and replaced with a cd/radio player.

BMW 5-series (1996 - 2000) ... and Passenger Airbags Side Airbags Black Leather Interior Alarm and Immobiliser The vehicle acheived a 3 star Euro NCAP safety rating that was on a par with the Vauxhall Omega. Although the car was quite an old design athe the time. This was slightly disappointing as the Volvo S40 attained 4 and is a significantly cheaper proposition. PRACTICALITY The BMW is a medium executive saloon and fares relatively will in thjs field. In the front there is plenty of legroom and even the tallest drivers should have no problem as headroom is also ample. Citroën AX ... and very good on fuel and I managed to get 250kg of pig food in the back once and it drove fine with me and 2 other guys in. The amount of times that I had to go to the rescue to my mates when there (newer) cars broke down in my ax. It was funny turning up in an F reg car to sort out an M reg car lol. It did however, have an irritating appitite for coolant, before the headgasket went, it would get low on coolant every 2000 miles and get an airlock and need topping up/ bleeding. Every part of the cooling system ended up failing, first the radiator hoses weren't that great so i replaced them, then the thermostat, then the heater matrix, then the head gasket (not strict... Rover 214i 3-door ... delibratly tamed the chassis but it felt so capable and was jus spot on. Not fun like a focus, just capable. Very. The engines deserve credit. On a low budget and designed as a cheap way of powering there base cars this motor still punches above its weight today. And its weight is very low to! Lotus and caterham used it remember.... So the engines are great, when there working! and the car even in base trim drives and handles better than many hot hatches. Is the assembly as impressive? Erm, no. The car has been put together in the cheapest way possible. Good for me as it means light and simple, but as a car i had to live with and for the family? Im afraid not. Bad...
