Subaru Impreza 2.0 ... have much),but probably most of the saloon car competition,too. Okay,the non-turbo 2.0 GX five speed manual version im basing my review on isnt anything like as hot as the out and out performance available in the six-speed 2.0 WRX Sti saloon-an amazing 140mph machine that can rocket to 60mph in just over five seconds-but,all the same,it gives a great all-round drive. A gutteral growl is the trademark Subaru engine noise,with the £15,750 2-0GX,like all Impreza's,employing the flat-four all-aluminium engine layout.Maximum power is 124bhp,with top speed 118mph and 60mph reached from standstill in 9.8 seconds(or so im reliably imformed by the owner!) Peugeot 406 Coupe V6 ... mph. It is quiet and fast, top speed just short of 150mph and still averaging 30mpg. Leather interior is luxurious and the rear seats can carry adults quite comfortably. 6CD changer and 8 speakers belt out whatever you listen to clearly and very very loudly if you need it. Around town you get a lovely deep rumbling from the exhaust which just oozes power. At traffic lights the boy racers pull up along side admire the shape and dare you to race. Of course you dont need to because you know the outcome. with 0-60 at just under 7 seconds there isnt alot out there to beat you. Renault Megane in general ... the insurance group not too painful being only 19 when I first got it, comfortable ride and very stylish inside compared to other cars in it's group. Drives like a dream and full electrics are good, especially the electric back windows, although I have found the motors and switch's can play up and are expensive to replace (£190ish) My MPG has been up to about 41 and averages at around 35-37 I have a pearlresent Bluey Green colour which looks mint when all polished up!
