... 156 1.8 TS I have this car and I absolutely love it! It looks gorgeous and drives superbly. This car is seriously fun to drive and the 144BHP 1.8 engine is not short of kick, especially when you run it just over 3000rpm. Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6 24V ... bought my 98 R reg GTV 3.0 V6 as a second car in 2001. Quite simply it s the best car I ve ever had. If you re looking for "bangs for your bucks" you can t get any better. Unfortunately I ll have to sell it soon and will REALLY miss it. To sum-up it s a real hooligan - glorious noise, amazing performance, bit rough around the edges but you really do look forward to every drive - surely that s what driving s all about? Alfa Romeo 146 1.8 T Spark 5dr ... 146 is a lot of car for the money. I bought mine 3 and a half years ago when it was less than 3 years old, and it cost me only £5k, was in mint condition, 35k miles and had a full service history. It s got great spec - air con, electric windows, alloys, electric sunroof, Kenwood sound system, twin airbags, etc It drives well and the 1.8 Twin Spark is pretty punchy - needs to be revved high to get the best performance out of it. As long as you keep the revs high you can have a lot of fun on windy country roads. Handling is good and the brakes have plenty of stopping power.
