Aston Martin Vantage:
... squeezing statistics. 0-60mph is 3.9 sec and 0-100mph in 6.7sec, and topping out at 200+mph. But power was not the only thing on Aston's mind when they built it, no, they even let you go fast in luxury. When you get into the car you are surrounded by bits of forrestry and leather, and not only that, your whole family can enjoy the expierience as there in the back are two seats. The only down fall to this masterp... Read the full review: A Rolls Royce with attitude by Dai Watkins |

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante ... classic Aston shape and smoothed off the sharp edges; the result is very elegant. Under the bonnet of the standard model lies a 3228cc supercharged six-cylinder engine developed in partnership with Jaguar but with a majority of parts unique to Newport Pagnell. For those that aren't familiar with the concept, a supercharger is a device that's driven by the engine and pushes air and fuel into the cylinders at a vastly increased pace. On the road, all you'll care about is the distinctive engine note that gives this car a character of its own. It's also extremely tractable. In other words, you could drive this car through urban traffic without it becoming ... Read the full review: a top quality car by |

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupé ... brakes get top marks. The marvellous chassis is complemented superbly by the 335bhp24-valve supercharged straight-six engine. The DB certainly sounds like it means business, but when it came to obtaining our standing start acceleration times I had a little difficulty because the DB7 seems to have so much grip that its rear wheels won’t spin. As a result, severe axle tramp hampered hard acceleration at the track. In addition to a gruff straight-six growl there’s a slightly menacing whining from the blower which increases in pitch and ferocity as the engine speed rises. Thick carpet and warm-smelling Connolly hide make the interior a delightful place... Read the full review: DB7 by |

Aston Martin DB5 ... bits that join them that can be poor at times Step in and the classic dash sets you in fine stead for what is to come. Twist the questionable Lucas ignition switch and the engine barks into life Shove the baulky gearbox into 1st and off we go There is ample power on tap from the 4 litre engines and you are quickly propelled up the road in style Hit a corner and your nerves will be tested for sure! If the car is on it's original Cross Ply tyres it feels like you are captaining a small boat! If the car has had some suspension mods and some radial tyres fitted it is another story. The car will corner with ease and vogor. The competition in it's day didn't have ... Read the full review: DB5 - The drivers opinion... by Goosegog |
