MG ZR:
... and chassis have been significantly modified and it now offers a very engaging driving experience, steering is direct and provides good feedback for a front wheel drive car, body roll is well under control and there is plenty of grip through the 17 inch tyres. Surprisingly the ZR still manages to deliver a reasonable ride over uneven surfaces.
0-60mph in 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 131mph

They removed the leaves and then TOLD ME OFF for parking my car under trees. Apparently you're not supposed to do that with an MG TF. Rover MG had not figured out how to design heating systems that only let in air and not leaves. And that was the last problem I had in my first year of owning a British built MGTF. All in all the car was taken back for various problems on average once or twice a month with some problems still not having been resolved even now 4 years later. Also, drivers seem to underestimate it, especially as the 1.8 120+ is not on the back of the car. I use my car for getting to work and back, (About 30 miles each way) and driving at weekends. The general comfort of the car is very good, I suffer from a bad back and when you are alowed to slouch in a car, it gets worse, but the seats in the MG ensure you stay upright and have just the right amount of comfort. I am very proud of my car, and i always make my friends travel in my car if we go anywhere, its just that bit more stylish and sporty than other small cars. I ... MG MGB ... with its gleaming chrome bumpers and grille made you feel like a king. Under the bonnet was a gleaming red 1778cc engine with twin carburettors. None of the flash electronics and fuel injection of today, you could actually work on these. In those days many sports car owners would carry out their own repairs, no chance today. This car was produced to supercede the MGA (Another classic) and sporned the production of the biggest mistake in MG history the MGC whose handling characteristics with the straight six 3 litre Austin Healey engine were atrocious. The MGB was and still is a collectors dream as most parts are still readily available. If you are considering buy... Read the full review: THE BRITISH SPORTS CAR AT ITS BEST by DECISION2 |
