Fiat Stilo
by l kersh
I until recently was a huge fan of fiat cars in general my first car was a fiat brava and it was absolutly great always sailed through mot and any problems were minor and cheap to fix so when i decided i fancied a change i opted for a fiat stilo active and then began the endless problems wheel bushells and trailing arms ,starter motor ... ,clutch , rear part of exaust , front part of exaust, brakes callipers discs, indicator stalk,2 new batteries these are only the tip of the iceberg the list is truly endless and not one of these parts is cheap at best £150 at worst £600 this car has never passed an mot since i drove it out of the garage 3 years ago and has been an absolute nightmare so never again will i buy a fiat of any description after endless breakdowns and garage visits take heed if your thinking of buying one as your local garage will become your local hangout! Fiat Punto 1.2 16v ELX 5dr
by emily92
This is my partners car which i often drive. We got this as he has just recently passed his test and the Fiat Punto seemed like a good starter car. I can confirm it is a great starter car and better than my first, a Ford Ka. The pedals could be classed as a little too close together, but they are great for control. I find the clutch ... easier for clutch control on than the Ka, but the steering wheel column i think it is does get a bit in the way with my foot when turning corners with the clutch depressed. It is at a nice and comfortable biting point. Away from the pedals is the running of the car which i think is great, the engine sounds smart and i stalled it once and wasnt aware i even had because the engine is so quiet which is nice for longer journeys. The interior can come in all kinds of garish colours which i will be honest and say i dont perticularly like but all we wanted was a good car we could rely on for motorway miles and for extending the family and this surely is! Fiat Panda 1.1 Active
by puffnut
I love this car.
Pros
Despite its small engine it is still very nippy and likes being driven in high revs.
suprisingly roomy inside, I have to transport a PA system with a keyboard and guitars and it does that fine.
rarely have to top up oil and tyres.
Excellent visability round all sides.
Easy to ... clean!
low fuel consumption
Looks quite funky
Cons.
The full beam lights aren't the brightest in the world.
The boot doesn't have an open button inside the car, this means to open the boot you have to turn the engine off, take out the keys and open the boot using your keys, it's very impractical if you want to drop off a friend or something.
struggles a bit up hills.
it does have quite a strange driving position, you have to have short legs and long arms in order to be perfectly comfy as you cannot adjust how far the steering wheel comes out or in.
Overall, this is a lovely little car that i'd recommend to anybody, it's perfect to learn in, perfect as a run around and always feel as if it loves being out on the road. The main problem is the boot, and having to open it with the key. Read the complete review |
