bilbobaginz Fiat Punto 1.2 3dr: ... off, I find it funny how the description for this review is a Fiat Punto 1.2 3dr , but the picture clearly shows a 5dr... Just made me laugh, sorry. I purchased my Fiat Punto 6months ago from an auction in Nottingham, for just £1,000 + £200 auction charge. The car was in great condition (besides a flat tire which put bidders off), with only 41,000 miles of the clock! When I got the car home I discovered a fe...

... was unfortunate enough to own one of these cars for a whole year, and all I can describe it as is a SHED! Ok.. it s alright for a first car. Low insurance, low tax, doesn t guzzle much fuel, and can fit in almost any car parking space, so it does have its perks!! The car itself though is very ugly looking.. not a great pulling machine and a bit of a squeeze when you try to fit five people in!! Mine fell to pieces all the time.. always in the garage for this and that, engine ended up packing in completely and it had to be scrapped!! The interior is tacky.. the windscreen wipers are just pieces of plastic that stick out (and my wipers had a tendancy to break every wee...

... had two puntos now both had head gasket isues and both had indicator issues(wldnt work until i slammed the stork) my first was a standard 1.0 and i now own a 1998 1.2 i6v sport just had head gasket done! i feel these cars are very easy maintaince and is a joy to work on like any car its personal and does need tlc so if your not into fixing your own car dont buy one(although they are cheap to fix!)i find these cars very economical and fun to drive the coil packs tend to go on them and the leads and copper cores reduce the spark so basic maintenence is highly recomended and as for the heads cant say why they go like they do as they vairy with use!but at the end of the d...

... Wife (girlfriend at the time), had a new one of these at the age of 17 in order to learn her driving skills in. The car was £4500 new, and very low insurance, so it is ideal for new drivers to learn in. She found it very easy to drive in, nice light steering, good visibility, and very easy to manouver due the tiny size of the car, and ended up taking her test in the car, and passing no problems. From that day on, she kept the car for over 4 years, and was very pleased with it, and sorry to see it go. It never gave her any problems, and parts were easy to get hold of, and very cheap. We did quite a few long journeys in it also, and it was always very surprising when on ...
