Ford Ka 3-dr ... had a Ford Ka up until last year when I had to sell it for parts as the engine head was damaged! They are in my opinion a fantastic car but have loads of faults with them which cost an arm and a leg. I paid £1600 in December 2006 for my Ka and at the time of buying it was told that the back and front shockers would fail the next MOT, which was due in April 2007 which they did. I had 4 brand new ones fitted by Ford. The car was then re MOT d and passed with flying colours, everything was fine, got it re tax d and then when I was giving a long the motorway one day in May last year (2007) at 50 MPH the car lost power almost instantly, I managed, just to get it off the moto... Ford Escort Cosworth ... handling is great you get so much grip from the whale tail pushing the back end down that it sticks to the road whilst going around corners, even when you think that you should be off the road in a field some where. I have not had any nasty surprises half way round a bend of the car letting go. The car is well built and if you service regularly it is reliable. Getting parts for the car from Ford can be a waiting game as the specialist parts generally have to be ordered in, though there are many aftermarket companies available which can provide near enough any part you require or an alternative.
