... wasn t really too interested in the Ford Focus until they launched this model. It s such a great car to drive. There are a number of positives about this car- great engine, very comfortable to drive, very easy to drive thanks to the light steering, smooth gear changes and very economical. The heated windscreen is also a very good feature, especially knowing that winter is coming up and along with it the ice on the windscreen. The thing that really done it for me was the looks of the car. Go for the blue or black and you will have a seriously good looking car on your hands. ... 5 Star safety rating was the foremost criteria Cruise control CD Radio with auxilliary input 6/7 seats Diesel engine (big cars need a lot of torque) Decent boot size behind the third row of seats Decent economy Cheap to run (all relative at this size of vehicle, though!) Good reviews online The only ones that really met this criteria were the Citroen Grand Picasso, Renault Grand Scenic, and the Ford S-Max. The bigger cars in these ranges were too expensive to buy or run. We quickly discounted the Citroen on being expensive for what we got and lack of boot space. ... m currently driving a Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 Petrol. It s a great car! The car is now 9 years old but is in great nick, it has certainly lasted well but hasn t had much use over the period. The usual suspects are starting to appear, a little rust on the bottom of one of the back doors and a little rust on the inside of the bootlid. Apart from that though, it is lasting amazingly well. The handling of this car is great, for a bog standard not really sports orientate hatchback. The chassis copes with most fast driving situation on the road, wouldn t be anywhere near useful on a track though, just trying to give some perspective on road driving.
