... previously had a fiesta 1.3 finesse which look pretty similar but without the sports and nice little features, I much prefer the zetec S and definately wont be changing anytime soon! Ford Ka in general ... How I came about to getting this car . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . So throughout learning how to drive, all my friends was getting corsa s and clios and puntos. Although they was nice I personally preffered the KA s. I had only ever seen them driving past however i thoguht the unique bubble like shape was quite cute. After passing my test i sat in a family members 04 corsa and didnt like it. I felt quite low to the ground (this is an issue my dad has with cars, and appears its been passed onto me now). I sat in a friends 02 clio and felt the same lowness. Ford Ka 3-dr ... have had my Ka for a year and a half now. I didn t go out looking for any particular car, but the Ka was the best price for a low mileage (22,000 miles on the clock) in the second-hand dealers that I visited. Everything was ok for the first few months and then things started to go wrong with it, first it was the battery, then the alternator, the tyres, the door handles etc. etc. The worst thing is that although the car is cheap the parts and labour aren t. To get the alternator out the mechanices had to take off the entrie front bumper section plus some other bits in the engine area as it s so squashed in, taking 3 hours rather than 1! Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec 5dr ... the birth of our first child on our minds, the decision was made to buy a family car. Having owned and loved Ford s, the decision was made to purchase a Focus. We currently own a 56 reg 1.6 Zetec 5 dr. The 1.6 litre engine is quite economical and performs well in potting around town and racing down the motor way. The interior is very roomy (for a 5 door hatch back), well layed out and comfortable. The seats hug your body well and are great for distance and quick trips. The boot is quite large, big enough for a pushchair and lots of bags of grocery shopping.
