Jeep Wrangler 2.5 Sport Soft-Top ... it has the aero-dynamics of a brick the the fuel consumption isn't really in the same category of 'DIESELS' but it is never the less a bundle of fun. With both soft and hard tops the car is reasonably functional all year round. The performance isn't amazing but on the 'Last Model' the handling was comparible to that of a giant mini. In the summer the fact that the roof and the doors come off and the windscreen drops makes the car stand out and great to drive. The steering is very light but you have the feeling that you could drive through a brick wall. In heavy traffic the high seating position brings light relief and all round visibilty. If you... Jeep Cherokee Limited 4WD ... The classic shape Jeep Cherokee is due to be phased out in the next two years, to be replaced by the all new Jeep Liberty (though it's hard to imagine Jeep letting the Cherokee name go). Take the chance and go for one of the classic shape Cherokees which are now incredibly good value. For about 20K you get a capable off roader that looks like a big Tonka toy, fits in a normal height garage (unlike some 4 w d cars)and is great fun to drive. Never mind the cost of petrol, go for the 4 litre straight six if possible with leather and the electric and lighting packs. Jeep Wrangler 2.5 Sport Soft-Top ... you want a nice comfortable car with room for 5 and a boot for the shopping, that does about 40 to the gallon, and can cruise all day on motorways without any fuss, and lets you listen to your favourite classical piece with hardly a decibel of wind noise, then go and buy your cardigan and slippers now, and read no further.
