Land Rover Freelander 2:
... about 33 mpg if I can do at least 40 mph. If I am doing 10-30 mph then that is where this lets you down and I get about 28-31 mpg. This is not bad, but you do have to bear in mind this is a car for longer distances.
Given that I have the automatic the CO2 is higher at 224g/km. It just misses the top Car tax band, but who knows for the future.
One thing I have noticed about the FL2 is you need to allow a lot... Read the full review: Freelander 2 - Thumbs Up! by jupiter28 |

Land Rover Discovery ... cream leather, which is very lush. The car drives very well. The turning is smooth and subtle, while the suspension I mentioned earlier provides a very comfortable ride and does not manage to find many potholes and bumps in the roads. The car tops out at 130 miles an hour for its top speed, which is brilliant for a car that weighs somewhere inbetween 2-3 tonnes. I would suggest a v8 engine, which can chugg out some real power, the v6 deisel just does not cut it and apparantly needs servicing too much. There are many nice little extras that can be bought with the discovery. Among these are an inbuilt sat nav, tvs and ps2s, a bose surround sound system (which by the way... Land Rover Discovery V8 in general ... it had the go any where ability which you expect of a land rover product. The V8 was helpful in this respect. Unfortuantly I had to sell it as it required alot of expense for the MOT, but if there had been no problems with it I would have kept it. It was mechanical problems due to the fact it had done well over 100,000 miles but the engine was still strong. I had upgraded the air filter to a K&N filter which i found gave slightly more power as the engine could breathe better and the maintainance was easier. The minor niggles i had with it were the rear door could only be opened from the inside due to a tiny spring breaking in the door mechanism. I tried to fix it ... Land Rover Freelander in general ... economical and nippy for a 4x4. I use it as an off road vehicle, it has a towbar and I have yet to find somethign that it won't tow. My brother has a 24 year old Land Rover and the only thing that stops my car going where his doesn't is the ground clearance is not as much. At the moment my car is parked at a crazy angle up in a field and it had no problems what so ever getting there. Although I live in the country, I have had it in Glasgow and it is ideal. You sit just above the everyone else so you have a good field of vision and as far as hill starts are concerned, the car takes them in its stride while other cars constanlty stall and konk out in front of me at jun...
