Lotus Elise 1.8:
... to afford a great house, it s also meant I ve needed to buy a car – it s no longer really practical to share the Fiesta with my brother any more (see my Fiesta review...) now that we live 60 miles apart! So, I bought a car... I ve had a long term love affair with Lotuses, ever since seeing James Bond s fantastic white submarine Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me. What a car! But it was the Elise that would truly ca... Read the full review: The four wheeled love of my life by crispy |

Lotus Elise 2000 ... at the Cinema - the Spy Who Loved Me. When I got home I wrote "LOTUS" on an old biscuit tin and started putting pennies in it. Originally I wanted the early 70s SE2 sprint which was 20 grand..... Spool forward 25 years or so and along comes the Elise, a car that could hardly have been more perfectly suited to my needs if they'd built it to my specifications and called it the Lotus Sweary.... and finally I own one. All women should buy this car, words cannot describe what fantastic fun it is! Here's Why. Manufactured at the Lotus factory in Norfolk, it is, as with all Lotus', designed for people who want a good driving experience. Although this car is technically my husbands (bah humbug) I am allowed the occasional drive! However, before I could drive it, I had to have a driving session on the track at Lotus to get used to handling the car, as it was nothing like I had ever driven before! (You may have read in another op that I drive a Honda estate – slightly different!) The first problem is actually getting in the car – it is so low to the ground! First time I was a passenger in one I wa... Read the full review: Great Fun With Your Clothes On. by jools30 |
