... amazing :-) I eventually sold it after owning it for 2 trouble free years as I was offered a job in New York, I got the same money I paid for it, but they are so cheap you cannot really loose money on them. The one thing to remember is never go near a 'real' Lotus dealer, they expensive, unhelpful and actually don't seem to know much about anything that isn't an Elise. Find a good specialist from t... Lotus Elise 1.8 ... have owned an Elise for three years, and before that an Elan SE. I loved both, and could not choose between them. First lets destroy the myth about the Elise' size. I am 6' 3" and nearly 19 stone, but I can get in with the roof on with no problem, and fit comfortably in the driving seat. With two people my size, it is a bit of a squeeze, but not an uncomfortable one. Now I will confirm another rumour. The boot is tiny! Two people can go away for the weekend in the Winter, or a week in the summer, as long as they don't want ironed clothes, and can stuff everything into a squashy bag. Lotus Elise 1.8 ... this really is the car of any man, or womans dream for that matter. This 1.8 litre goes nought to sixty in a shade under 6 seconds. Basically the styling is superb. Starting with the front. This contains the workplace of the unit. The beast. The trojan, call it what you want. It is purely amazing. The air vents are a focal point of the car, cooling the beast down....as it needs to be; going so fast. The streamline nature of the car allows the wind to flow through the vents in the side of the door, cooling the passengers within. This not only is a nesessity, but now a standard feature. Lotus Exige ... is really the only way to describe this car! The lotus Exige is the sister car to the Elise and exceeds all its sisters reputations. The main downside is the lack of the open roof, but this is easily made up for by the fact that its performance is greatly increased. To look at this car is lovely, the air vents and the rear spoiler give it a mean look, and it means business! The interior is also fab, with the option of leather upholstery, CD player and all the usual extras you would expect. The car drives like a dream, my only complaint would be its slight oversteer and i ahve learned from experience that its best not to drive this car to its max until yo...
