Maserati Quattroporte V8 ... car makes a good noise, infact it makes an amazing noise. it can keep up with and over take mercedes and bmw, on everything except build quality. this is were masarati fall short, now that they have been bought by ferrari things have got better, but still remain behind bmw by a long way. but all is forgiven when you start up the engine, there is an amazing sound! and then you press the throtle!! the aceleration is amazing, and it keeps on acelerating until you run out of guts, that is how fast it is! ... Maserati 3200 GT ... Maserati 3200GT is my ultimate car. When my numbers come up on the lottery (why is it taking so long?), the first thing I'm going to do is grab one of these beauties. Ok, apparently Maserati used to be a bit dodgy in the eighties and early nineties, but then so was most of the cars to come out of the Fiat stable. A couple of years ago Ferrari took over the running of Maserati and re-kitted their factory specifically in readiness for production of the 3200GT. The result is a car that can easily compete against its price rivals from Jaguar, Porsche and even Aston Martin. From the front it indeed looks similar to the Aston, but not from the back. Maserati Shamal ... friend owns a right hand drive Shamal - you may of seen it as it is used in magazines and car related books and motor shows. Apparently only about 64 of these Shamals were made and of course by now some of them have been written off etc. But not this one. My friend bought his from new and has so far amassed about 16k miles and is kept in perfect condition. I personally haven't driven the car but I have been driven about in it several times. Firstly the performance is 2nd to none. 0-60 is approx. 5.5 seconds with a top speed of around 175mph.
