Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 Elegance:
... really is a fantastic car, it is not too expensive for what it is, and it has everything that someone could want from a car. It has a very wide range of features. This is helped by the fact that is an upmarket model, and I'm not sure how much of what is in it are optional extra's. The Car is brilliant to handle, and has a great look and feel to it

Mercedes-Benz C220CDI Classic ... careful buying one of these, I did, full history, 6 months out of warranty, 71000 miles and an auto gearbox problem that caused it to jerk violently forward or backwards when starting from cold. No problem said my Merc agent (Carlisle) Mercedes know about this problem, happened before, but will not help out even as a goodwill gesture (March 2007). Auto box cooling system in radiator has failed causing water to enter gearbox New rad, torque convertor and g/box needed (app £6000-00) My car was reg.MF53FEV don't buy it! Mercedes-Benz Sports Coupe C180K ... BMW by comparison offer very little as standard. The 1-series in particular has horrible 1990's Skoda style plastics that look like synthetic elephant scrotum. The sports coupe offers seats for four adults even if the method of ingres for six footers into the back is far from graceful. The back seats fold back and the boot is quite spacious for a car of this size. You'll get far more suitcases in the back of a mondeo though. The sports seats in the front are very comfortable and the headrests adjustable in two directions. Performance: ---------------- A Kompressor is a supercharger. Mercedes-Benz ML 270 CDI ... on the used car market and will drop £3000 on book price. It cost less than that to put on a new car so it gives you a guide as to what to look for in a used car (Again, they no longer make the 270 version!) the wheel tilts and slides so it is so easy to get a comfortable driving position and programme it in to the three options on the memory select panel and you are there. Dual air-con and multi CD are a must as well, the air-con being standard but the CD an extra option.
