	Nissan Pixo ... June this year the dear old Micra which I shared with my dad finally reached the natural end of its life, and we decided to take advantage of the government s scrappage scheme to upgrade to a brand new car. We went in to buy a Micra, but seeing a Pixo on the courtyard we decided one of these would be ideal. They are, in my opinion better looking cars than Micras, almost like a Nissan Note s much prettier and less chunky little sister. As anyone who has shopped for a small car will probably realise, the waiting lists since the scrappage scheme started have been huge. 	Nissan Note ... have driven my friend s 09 Nissan Note numerous times, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. It certainly isn t exciting and may not look great (well I suppose that is a matter of personal preference) but to your average person that does not matter anyway. The car is very smooth and quiet on the road, as you would expect from most modern cars and is a generally pleasant and relaxing drive. The interior is packed full of features such as a 5-inch touch screen system, CD player plus USB and aux-in connectors for playing songs using iPods and mp3 players. 	Nissan Micra 1.0 L ... have to say, if you are a young driver looking for something to get you through your test and beyond, I couldn t recommend the ( older style) Nissan Micra enough. My dad and sister both had the boxy models and they just lasted them forever, so when I was looking for a starter car I decided that a Micra was the way to go. I currently have a bubble shaped 1995 N-reg which I bought in 2005. In the last 4 years I haven t had to spend a penny on it to get it through it s MOT, despite doing the average 10,000 miles a year. I had to get the tyres replaced a couple of times and recently had to replace the exhaust, but these are all minor expenses you d have with any car...
